Rock'em Sock'em Robots Arena for PlayStation 1

Hey guys, I'm back to bring you another game that has never been famous for the great game that it is!

When I was younger I used to play this game all the time, and I just recently bought it again to play it...and I still love it! Rock'em Sock'em Robots Arena is a fighter game on PlayStation 1 that has all the expectations of other fighter games...but with a slight difference to it, but let me tell you more about the game first. This 1 to 2 player game allows the player to choose between 9 different characters and 5 unlock able "super" characters. These super characters include the two original Rock'em Sock'em Robots and the last three special opponents in the finals round of the career. In career mode a player can select a character and duke it out through three arenas with five fights in each and the finals round which include three of the hardest robots. What makes this game my favorite fighter on the PlayStation platform of all time is this; a player can rip off an opponent's arm if he does enough damage to it during a round which will help you defeat him next round to win best 2 out of 3 and you can attach this arm to yourself in replacement of one of your arms before the next match to add variety to your attacks. This isn't the only way to add variety, by winning matches you will earn money, with this money you can jump on over to the shop and customize your robot with over 100 different parts and 50,000 different combinations! These combinations make the game never get old because of the thousands of attack combinations that are possible due to this. Each robot has multiple attack combinations that allow you to shoot a dual fire-wave all the way to a five-hit teleporting combo. If you need help with these combinations, well you aren't gonna get much help because all the secret moves and specials are not displayed in the manual and they make you work to figure out the best attacks that you can do. Just make sure to not let yourself over heat, or you'll be stuck to hand-to-hand combat until you cool down.

Another factor that makes this game great is that you aren't restricted to left and right movements. This game is built on a 3D engine that allows a player to use the whole arena but come close in to bring back that 2D original hand-to-hand fighting look.

Other Game Types:

Versus Mode: Battle a computer robot or attach another control and duke it out with a friend.

Career Mode: See Above

Stakes Mode: Allows you to connect your career mode with a friend and battle him just like in versus mode, but with a little twist. You have to put up a part that you earned in career mode or attached to yourself for a buy-in, winner takes all.

Practice Mode: Lets you test out all your new moves against a dummy with no health limit or a computer and gives you a helpful guild at the bottom that shows you the button combos you just pressed.

Golden Sun: The Lost Age for GBA

I'm sure that you have all heard of Golden Sun, considering it is the 5th most popular Game Boy Advance game to ever come out. The thing is though is that its sequel, the MOST important part of the story line isn't even that popular!!! The end of Golden Sun leaves you hanging :(. To Golden Sun fans who stuck with it all the way to 3, you are true gamers, but I can't believe that it didn't even make it in the top 30 sold games for this system. It is ranked 9.6 to 10 on EVERY game site I have visited.

The Golden Sun duology is my favorite Game Boy Advance games ever made. It doesn't only make you learn fighting tactics, but also challenges you with puzzles and mazes to help you finish this extensive rpg game. With your crew of 2 people until you gather with the rest of your crew of 8 by the end of the game, you have to uncovered hundreds of mysteries through many puzzle filled canyons, mountains, caves, cities, bosses, etc.. Collecting djinns on your way to help your defeat the hardest bosses and using your special summons to impact your foes with tons of damage makes this games combat so addicting. You are never finished. Moving around djinn combinations on different people give them many choices of attacks and summons possible.

Even after beating the extensive game, there are still fun side quests that are possible that always allow you to unlock new things. I don't just mean moving a few blocks in  a sequence, I mean a strategic layout of the world figuring out clues and sailing to different towns to complete different secrets. The first time I played this game my total time to beat it....was 96 hours! And trust me, you can play longer than that. There is so much to this game it is still fun for me to play now.

**need help with anything on the first 2 games, comment and I guarantee I can answer it.

Golden Sun's hidden secret

If you have beaten the first game go out and buy yourself a game boy connection cord. It allows you to battle your friends in battle mode, but that isn't all. When you combine the first game with the second (before exploring and completing the Jupiter Lighthouse puzzle) your newly met crew members from the first game come complete with all the djinns you collected in the first game, hoping you collected them all. This unlocks the greatest secret of the game. Visit Contigo and teleport from the center of the city using your psynergy move "teleport" on the marked teleport spot. You will be taken to a secret room where the ground lights up from each djinn you have, the secret door will open up when you have collected all the djinn (including the first game) and well...I won't ruin the surprise. But lets just say beating the Doom Dragon will be a lot easier harnessing the power of the sun and darkness!

Crash Bash for Playstation 1

Hey guys i'm here to give you my first post of the blog! I hate to waste such a great game for the first blog without popularity but i'm sure i'll link back in the future to it.

We have all heard about the amazing series of crash bandicoot, but what I've found out is that not many people have heard of this great side game that became partly popular for its appearance on the Pizza Hut classic demo discs for Playstation.

This 4 player party game is filled with 28 levels for you and your friends to compete against each other. Choose between 8 different characters and get prepared to face different fields of tactics and objectives. Whether you are pushing each other off an icy cliff riding polar bears (my personal favorite) or pogosticking to see who can get the most points while attacking each other and hitting squares to earn points, this game is a perfect game for up to 4 friends to have a great time. It is super addictive and worth every penny.

Buy it now: http://www.nintendosforsale.com/crash-bash-playstation-p-12265.html
(I'm sure you could find one for under $10 on ebay with free shipping.)
